The selected grapes used for this wine come from the 22,500 m² Stroblhof vineyard, a south-east facing plot situated 500 metres above sea level in the area of Appiano/Eppan. Of this vintage, only the best grapes from old vines were vinified as Riserva.

The grapes come from the STROBLHOF, a wine-growing estate that extends across 28,500 m² in the hamlet of Pigeno, near Appiano/Eppan. The property is situated 500 metres above sea level, facing south-east. In 2017, 60% of the grape harvest was used to produce P!GENO Pinot Noir. The rest was processed as Riserva.

The Strahler is a grape mixture with a long tradition in the area of Appiano/Eppan and at the Stroblhof in particular, although it has now become less common. The 2017 vintage is made up of 90% Pinot blanc, 5% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot gris.
