Our quality wines have already been thriving in this excellent location since the 16th century, on 5 hectares 500 metres above sea-level, directly on the mountainside of the Mendelgebirge range on eastward and southeastward facing slopes. There they enjoy South Tyrol’s warm, sunny days and the pleasantly cool mountain nights until into the autumn.
Thanks to this Mediterranean and Alpine climate, the cool downslope winds and the chalky and porphyritic soil, as well as the loving care of the vineyards, very special wines are created in our cellars.
A particular tradition is the pinot noir “Pigeno”, which unfolds its fine rock cherry bouquet in small oak casks for one year. Our very special pinot noir “Riserva” is only vinified in good years. Selected, healthy and fully ripe grapes from the best locations and old grape stocks guarantee an elegant, long-lasting South Tyrolean pinot noir with balanced tannins and fine cherry and red wild berry flavours.

Our classic at the Stroblhof is the fruity pinot blanc “Strahler”, which combines fine acids and exciting freshness. Delicate notes of apricot and vanilla lend our chardonnay “Schwarzhaus” – the grapes of which come from the area that gives it its name – its typical character. Our sauvignon blanc “Nico”, on the other hand, lets one experience subtle notes of herbs, elderberries and paprika on the palate.
